Pilgrims batted first in this rain reduced game of 30 overs.Matt and Craig opened the batting and were quickly putting runs on the board before craig (19) fell first victin to the singleton bowlers.T.C joined Matt at the crease and the runs kept ticking along and just after they had put on a 50 run partnership Matt(47)was caught with the pilgrims score on 87-2.Paul H came and went which left Simon at the crease with T.C. Another 50 run partnership ensued before T.C got out on 35. Pilgrims ended their 30 over spell on 165-4 after some hard hitting by Simon (46 no). Again after a loveley tea it was Singleton's turn to bat.S.Doel and L.Maloney put on 75 for the first wicket and this was followed up by G.Stanford and P.Walmsley scoring freeley but Pilgrims just manage to do enough to keep Singleton to 150-2 off their allotted 30 overs. A huge thank you to Singleton for making it possible to get the game played in somewhat wet conditions. Thanks to our supporters for braving the wet and cold conditions. |
